Charms Of Light® is a registered trademark.  The words “Charms Of Light”, “charmsoflight”, and the Charms Of Light logo are trademarks (“Marks”) owned by Caryl Haxworth.

Caryl Haxworth owns the copyright to all Charms Of Light® material and content (“Content”) used on this website.  Content includes, but is not limited to, written material and content, photographs, and designs.

You may not copy, sell, reproduce, distribute, republish, download, display, post, or transmit any part of this website, Marks, or Content, without prior written consent from Caryl Haxworth.

If you do not agree to this policy, you must not make any use whatsoever of any of the marks or content.  Any legal fees incurred due to infringement of this policy will be charged.

Rules of Usage of the Marks or Content

Your use of the Charms Of Light® Marks or Content is subject to the following rules:

• Any use of a Charms Of Light® Mark or Content indicates acceptance of this policy.
   
• You may not include a Charms Of Light® Mark or Content in your company name, product or service name, or domain name.
   
• You may not include a Charms Of Light® Mark or Content in your social media account name, page(s) or community (collective, “Social Media”), without written authorisation from Caryl Haxworth.  Social Media includes, but is not limited to Facebook (Meta), Instagram, and Twitter.
   
• You may not use a Charms Of Light® Mark as a hashtag (#charmsoflight) on Social Media without written authorisation from Caryl Haxworth.  Use of this can lead to confusion about being an official Charms Of Light® product or project.
   
• You may not use any Charms Of Light® Content on your website or Social Media, without crediting Charms Of Light® for said Content:
   
  • On your website - When using any Charms Of Light® Content you must add a note saying, "With permission, (said content) from Charms Of Light - www.charmsoflight.com", to every product and page that uses the Content on your website.  This must be a live link directly to Charms Of Light®.

These trademark and copyright rules and guidelines are subject to change at any time.  It is your responsibility to check this agreement periodically for changes.

It is important to remember that healing is not the same as curing.  Healing is helping the body, or mind, to become stronger and consequently better.  Always see your doctor if you have nagging health problems or serious injuries - healing with gemstones, reiki and other alternative therapies complements, but are not meant as a substitute for medical, or psychological, diagnosis and treatment when needed.

Advice given by me and through Charms Of Light is spiritual in nature and based on an intuitive reading of energy fields.  This advice should be used for informational purposes only.  I am not a licensed medical practitioner, do not diagnose conditions, do not perform medical treatment, do not prescribe substances, and do not interfere with the treatment of a client by a licensed medical professional. 

Clients bear the responsibility for any decisions they take based on the information provided by me and through the Charms Of Light website.  Charms Of Light shall not be liable to anyone for any loss or injury resulting from the direct or indirect use of such information, and shall not be liable for any decision made or action taken by me or others in reliance upon such information.  I obtain information from various sources which I believe to be reasonably reliable.  However, I make no claims, representations, or warranties as to the information's completeness, accuracy, currency, or reliability.

Due to the intangible nature of spiritual services I am obliged, by law, to state all intuitive services including, but not limited to, readings and consultations, are for entertainment purposes only.  They are not to be used as a substitute in any shape or form for professional medical, financial or legal advice.  Readings are not suitable for persons under the age of 18.

While I try to ensure this website is as accurate as possible, I cannot accept responsibility for any inaccuracies or errors out of its control.  Although I try to depict colours correctly I cannot take responsibility for differences that occur due to differences in computer / laptop screens.

Please make sure the email address you provide to us is correct and your mailbox is in proper working order.  All order confirmations are sent to that email address.  We will confirm that we have received your order by sending you an "order confirmation" email to the address you provide in the order process.

Jewellery & Crystals

Some countries have postal restrictions on semi-precious gemstones and/or jewellery.  Please check with Customs & Excise in your chosen destination before placing your order.  If you choose to go ahead with the purchase of any item(s) that are restricted, you take full responsibility for any loss or additional costs if the items do not reach their destination.

Clear pictures are shown to allow you to see the products that are available for purchase.  Measurements are given with the description of each piece.  All measurements given are intended as an approximate indication for the size of the product.  In some cases you will receive the exact item shown in the photograph, however if more than one of any item is available, I deem the photographs to be a clear representation of the product.  As with all semi precious gemstones and crystals, there will be slight variations in the beads used for jewellery and in crystal carvings.

You must ensure that before you place an order you have checked all the details carefully about the products you have selected as their details could have changed since you last visited this online store.
When choosing your healing jewellery or crystals, please take note of the measurements, descriptions and care instructions which are provided on each item page.  If you require a different size for your jewellery, please contact me with your request, before placing your order.  There will be an additional charge for alterations required on all wrongly sized jewellery purchases.

Healing & Guidance

For services purchased, details and/or session times (if applicable) will be sent by email.

Everything discussed in a reading or consultation remains completely confidential by both parties.  Any information that you are given is not to be repeated or replicated as your own.

Once you have purchased a healing service you will be contacted by email.  2 attempts will be made to contact you with regard to the service you have purchased.  In the case of a service being purchased and an appointment not confirmed, there will be 2 attempts made to contact you to schedule your session(s).  After this time, if there is no reply, your order will be cancelled and payment refunded, less the fees charged to me by the payment processing company through which you originally paid.  This excludes Gemstone Consultations and General Advice/Guidance, in which case it will be understood that the purchase was for services rendered via the information on this website. 

Custom / Bespoke / Quotes

Price quotes on custom/bespoke orders remain valid for 2 days from the date the quote is given.  Full payment is required within this time.  If payment is not received within this time all pieces put aside for the order will be made available to other customers.  A new quote will then be given to cover any costs involved in obtaining new stones/wire etc that may have become out of stock.

A small non-refundable deposit may be required on some custom orders.  Where a deposit is taken, once an order has been created to the customers' satisfaction, payment of the balance must be made within 2 days or the item may be added to the website for sale to the public.

My recommendation is that bracelets be at least an inch larger than the size of your wrist.  Bracelets made smaller than that are likely to break due to "stress".  I am happy to repair and resize for you if problems arise because of this, however a charge will be made for the repair, resizing and return postage.  Please note that when requesting a special size, I can not guarantee exact length.  Custom sizes come within 0.25 inches of requested size due to variations in stones and designs.

A gemstone consultation fee will be added to all custom/bespoke orders that require assistance in finding the right gemstone or crystals to help your situation.  (This applies if a gemstone consultation has NOT been ordered separately.)

Packages will be addressed to the exact delivery address entered on your order, so please ensure that the full and correct delivery details have been given.  We are not liable for any wrongly addressed packages, or packages deemed to be wrongly addressed, by any postal authority, being returned or getting lost in the postal system.

We use UK Royal Mail for all shipping requirements.  For overseas customers, once your item has left the UK, your package will be handed over to your local postal service for delivery.  A tracking number will be given for all packages.

Where possible products are shipped within 3 working days - Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays) of receiving confirmed payment.  Custom orders and items specified as "made to order" may take longer.  Expected delivery times and costs differ worldwide and dates specified on the website are approximate.  We will do our best to deliver products within the times stated however we shall not be liable for any losses, costs, damages, charges or expenses caused by any delay.

Some countries have postal restrictions on semi-precious gemstones and/or jewellery.  Please check with Customs & Excise in your chosen destination before placing your order.  If you choose to go ahead with the purchase of any item(s) that are restricted, you take full responsibility for any loss or additional costs if the items do not reach their destination.  Any VAT, duties, or fees charged for receipt or return of packages to or from countries outside the United Kingdom (UK) are the sole responsibility of the customer.

All delivery options are calculated based on the weight and size of your package for each separate delivery address.  EU and Rest of World orders weighing over 2kg will be split into 2 packages.  Shipping options and costs, in relation to your order and shipping destination, are clearly stated in your shopping basket before you reach checkout.  See "Shipping" for full details.  You are advised to choose an insured shipping option.  By choosing an uninsured shipping option the customer agrees to be liable for any associated costs and/or loss if your package is lost and/or damaged.

In the case that you have placed multiple orders to the same destination, these - wherever possible - will be packaged and shipped together.

It is the responsibility of the customer to contact us if your package has not been received within a reasonable amount of time, according to the expected delivery times stated in "Shipping".  In the case of any insured package being damaged or lost in the post, we will make a claim of compensation from Royal Mail on your behalf.  Once the loss or damage has been confirmed by Royal Mail, and not before this time, a reimbursement of your costs - up to a maximum compensation amount depending on your original shipping choice - will be made where applicable.

In the case that your package is unclaimed and/or returned, three attempts to contact you will be made.  If there is no response to these contacts, your items will be auctioned and any monies raised will be given to charity.  Reposting your returned package will cost the original shipping (or current shipping cost if prices have risen) plus the fee charged to me by the payment processing company through which your payment is made.

Please remember to add caryl@charmsoflight.com to your email address book to ensure you receive your confirmation, as well as information about when your package has been sent.  I am not responsible for emails you do not receive.

I wish you to always be absolutely delighted with any purchase made through Charms Of Light.  However, I do understand that sometimes you may change your mind, so if for any reason you wish to return an item, I am happy to offer an exchange or refund, according to the following conditions.

 

Conditions of Return or Exchange

If you wish to return or exchange an item, please contact me in the first instance within 7 days of receipt.  Returns and exchanges will not be accepted without prior notification in writing.  Items must be returned unused and in its original presentation box or gift bag, both of which must be in the same condition as you received them.  If the item is not returned in its original condition (eg: unworn), the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.  Items must be returned by a recorded delivery service and insured for their full cost.  Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs.  You have 14 days from the day you receive your order to return your item.  Once the item has been inspected and deemed to be in its original condition, a refund or an exchange will be made.  Refunds will be for the original price of the item, less the original cost of delivery, and less the fees charged to me by the payment processing company.  The refund will be made with 14 days using the same method through which you originally paid.  Exchanges will be processed according to what has been agreed to at the time of notification of your wish to exchange your item.

The following are exempt, and cannot be returned or exchanged:

• Used items, unless faulty.
• Custom orders / orders made to your specifications, unless faulty.
• Earrings - including ear cuffs (for hygiene reasons), unless faulty.
• Music/ meditation downloads.
• PDF manuals.
• Healing services that have been completed.

Please note:  Faulty items will be repaired or replaced, at no cost to the customer, whenever possible.  Only when this isn't possible, a return or exchange can be arranged.

 

Cancellations

If, for any reason, you wish to cancel your order, please let me know as soon as possible.  If your package has not yet been dispatched, you will be refunded via your original payment method, less the fee charged to me by the payment processing company.  Healing services must be cancelled within 24 hours of the order being placed.

All items are quality guaranteed for a period of 6 months from date of purchase.  I believe that this is a reasonable amount of time of regular wear to discover any defects in material and workmanship.  If repairs are required within this time they will be made without any added cost, except in the case of design changes - including resizing.  After this period a fee for repairs or alterations will be charged to cover materials, time and return postage.

This guarantee specifically excludes faults caused by accident, neglect or misuse (see "Everyday Use and Care of Gemstone Jewellery").

 

Conditions of Repair Under Guarantee

If you notice a defect in an item, please contact me in the first instance via email, with a description of the defect, and photos where possible.  Once it has been confirmed that a repair is warranted, the item needing repair must be carefully packaged and returned to Charms Of Light, by an agreed method, within 5 days.  Your return shipping costs will be reimbursed by Charms Of Light.  Please obtain proof of posting from the post office.  Charms Of Light takes no responsibility for goods damaged or lost in transit.

 

Conditions of General Repairs and/or Alterations

If you require repairs/alterations to your item, please contact me in the first instance via email.  Once it has been confirmed that your repair/alteration can be done, the item needing repair/alteration must be carefully packaged and returned to Charms Of Light within 5 days.  You are responsible for return shipping costs.  It is recommended that you obtain proof of posting from the post office in case the package goes missing.  Charms Of Light takes no responsibility for goods damaged or lost in transit.  Once the item has been received you will be contacted and a quote will be given for the repair/alteration.  Payment of this amount must be received within 2 days as per the Purchasing Policy - (Custom Orders / Quotes).

Charms Of Light is a British based website.  All payments are accepted in British Pounds (GBP £) only.  In some countries, this website may default to show your own currency on its items.  There is also a currency converter provided at the top of each page which can be used as a guide.  Whichever currency is shown, please note, your payment will be taken in British Pounds GBP £ and your order confirmation will show this.  The current exchange rate will be calculated at the time of your purchase and shown with your payment details.  (Please note: your own bank's currency exchange may differ slightly to the one provided on this website.)

Payment is accepted by the following methods: ...

• Credit or Debit Card:  - I use an SSL Certificate which enables encryption of sensitive information during online transactions.  You can be confident that all information given is safe and secure, and I never see your card details.
  (Please note:  If you are paying with an American Express card, please use the PayPal checkout button in your shopping cart.)
• PayPal Express: - For PayPal account holders, this is a fast and secure way to make your payment by either credit card or directly from your PayPal account.
• Wire Transfer: - For International customers (by request only).  Items will NOT be held, and your order will only be confirmed upon receipt of payment.
• Bank Transfer: - For UK based customers only.  Items will NOT be held, and your order will only be confirmed upon receipt of payment.

Please be advised that when choosing PayPal Express to pay for your order, the correct shipping location must first be chosen.  If it is incorrect, you will be charged the difference (plus an administration fee) for the correct shipping costs.
