What does "Being Strong" mean to you?
I've always been thought of as being a strong person. People tell me, "you're such a strong woman"! I often hear, "I wish I was as strong as you."
Sometimes I think that strength is mistakenly seen as knowing what you want and doing what you need to get it, or telling someone that the service you've received wasn't what it should have been. These things aren't strength, they are simply ways of being true to yourself and to what you expect from others.
I also think that people see me as strong because I'm someone who tends to make the best of things when something goes wrong, rather than dwell on how bad things are. I guess that is being strong in a way, but mostly it's simply that I prefer to look on the bright side and don't believe that going around with a "woe is me" attitude, or complaining of physical pain, will help anything get better or less painful.
Early last week I had a stroke. I was in and out of hospital very quickly and am very lucky to have all my mobility back, with only a very slight loss of feeling down one side. My head is also a bit muddled when I try to think but I'm getting there and know I will make a full recovery.
Finally, I've really understood what being strong is all about.
Right now, I am not OK ... and that's OK!

I very much appreciate your understanding and patience at this time. I am continuing to make jewellery because it is excellent physical therapy for my hands and fingers. Working with the energies of my lovely crystals and gemstones is also wonderful therapy.
Love & Blessings,
Caryl ♥
