About a month ago I was contacted by someone who wanted me to create a healing bracelet for a relative who had just finished undergoing surgery and was having radiotherapy for breast cancer.

For this particular person, I created a crystal bracelet containing the following gemstones:  Rose Quartz, Amethyst, Turquoise, Moss Agate, and Smokey Quartz.
 

Creating a healing bracelet with crystals that can help with radiation treatment, made me think again about how we work with gemstones for healing.

Some time ago, I wrote a post about Gemstones for EMF Health.  This described some of the gemstones that are great for protecting against EMFs, or radiation.  All the gemstones I listed in that article are great for - protecting against - neutralising - deflecting - drawing off - or blocking radiation, which is exactly how we want to use them in the environment in which we live.

However, you have to think about this much more carefully if you want to use these wonderful stones for healing in cases of people undergoing chemotherapy or radiation treatment for cancer.  Let's face it, the whole point about radiation treatment for cancer is to zap the body with radiation, right?  If you are using crystals that block or neutralise radiation, then the effectiveness of that particular treatment is more likely going to be weakened, and possibly not do too much for you.  It would be much better to use healing stones that promote regeneration of cells and tissue - that act as natural tranquilisers - are anti-inflammatory - and strengthen the immune system, as suggested in my post about Gemstones to Boost Immunity Whilst Fighting Breast Cancer.

Another way to use the gemstones for radiation would be to programme them to repair and protect the healthy cells in your body from the radiation, while the unhealthy parts receive the orthodox treatment.

It is also always a good idea to use a gemstone that you feel particularly drawn to, as that is the crystal that will give you the healing properties you need at the time.
