So ..... I found one of hubby's cufflinks lying around the other day. This example is made with a kind of elasticated cord with a knot at each end.
Looking at it gave me an idea ..... I know that you can get many different versions of cufflinks, including some set in silver and/or gold, along with precious and semi-precious gemstones, but I'd never really thought about making them myself.
Well that changed quickly!
Some wonderful pyrite nuggets and a bit of sterling silver wire later, and I came up with these double sided pyrite nugget cufflinks.
I then found some interesting bubble shaped black onyx beads in my gemstone and crystals box. Some more sterling silver wire and a little sterling silver chain, and these double sided black onyx bubble chain cufflinks were born!
Quite liking this sterling silver chain cufflink style, and wanting to see what it would look like with round beads, I grabbed two different sizes of lapis lazuli and created these double sided lapis lazuli chain cufflinks as well.
Next, I decided to play with a sterling silver chain and T bar design, so put together these snowflake obsidian T bar chain cufflinks.
I must admit, I'm really happy with discovering that I could make cufflinks and have now added a cufflinks section to the healing jewellery collection on the website. I'm looking forward to adding more and maybe even coming up with other designs too.
Hubby also loved my cufflinks idea, and my son is even thinking of having matching ones for his groomsmen when he gets married later this year!
Do you, or anyone you know, like wearing cufflinks? What other stones would you like to see and which is your favourite cufflink design?
Blessings,
Caryl ♥
